CEBU, Philippines - Rene Desuyo prevented Philip Duenas from posting back-to-back victories as he dominated the second leg of the Run For Sight Monthly Series yesterday at the Cebu Doctors' University in Mandaue reclamation area.
Desuyo, who hails from Negros Occidental, crossed the finish line with the best time of 34 minutes and 43.32 seconds, relegating inaugural leg winner Duenas to second with the time of 37:17.79.
Charlie Berberio once again settled for third with a 37:22.88 clocking, while Brandon Bon wound up fourth in 43:41.47.
Dr. Yong Larrazabal dropped three steps from his ranking in the first leg with his 46:14.29 mark.
The sixth to 10th placers in the men’s open were Dr. Harem Deiparine (47:56.62), Vincent Aguanta (48:28.41), Jojo Cañete (48:52.92), Jofre Nastor (50:36.7) and Ric Dizon (50:40.62).
In the women's division, Gerly Rose Baylon reigned supreme with the time of 53 minutes and 13.58. Vivien Biagan finished second in 55:41.87 followed by Abby Ponce in 56:37.09.
