Bogo's Seno marches into Tru-flex tennis semis

CEBU, Philippines - The Bogo-native Jan Godfrey Seno sustained his sizzling charge to advance into the semifinal round of the unisex 10-under in the 2009 Tru-flex National Age-group Tennis Championships at the Rizal Memorial Tennis Center.

Seno, one of the only two youthful Cebuanos who joined the competition, bounced back from a second-set drawback to fend off American national Brandon Carlswel in a three-set thriller, 6-2, 1-6, 10-7.

Today, Seno faces a tougher challenger as he takes on the second-ranked Mimo Tomacruz for a final berth.

Seno also competed in the boys 12-under class, but the results of his games were still unavailable as of this writing. – Caecent No-ot Magsumbol   (THE FREEMAN)
