CEBU, Philippines – The Madrid cagers of team manager Ramel Luga escaped with a 112-108 victory over Cantilan to win the championship of the 2nd CarCanMadCarLan basketball tournament recently at the Sambag I Sports Complex in Brgy. Sambag I, this city.

Allen Esmejarda topscored for Madrid with 22 points, even as five other players cashed in double figures unscoring their balanced offensive. Jerome Mollaneda had 16 points, Eming had 14 points, while Bogs Arpilleda and Loren banged in 13 markers apiece. Jessie Escarten also joined the scoring spree with a dozen markers.
