Cebu Movers advance into GAA cage semifinals

CEBU, Philippines - The Cebu Movers System of playing coach Boy Te advanced into the semifinals of the Guadalupe Athletic Association (GAA) 9th Founder’s Cup basketball tournament following an 86-54 demolition of the Agencia Grande last Sunday at the Guadalupe Sports Complex.

 Thus, the Movers set up a knockout battle with Aulga Hardware on March 15 for a final berth. Aulga advanced after surviving Aqua Serv by the narrowest of margins, 55-54.

Inting Reyes topscored with 24 points for Movers, while Benjie Capili paced Agencia Grande with 17 markers.

The Platoon 2171 led by Jimbo Noel booked the first semis ticket after carving our a 76-68 win over the AC Sports of Archie Baba.

The Ram Boys of former Cebu vice governor Enric Rama, on the other hand, pulled off a 77-70 upset over Pecus Stallions to forge a sudden-death match next week for the right to face Platoon 2171.
