RJX Trans remains unbeaten in CECABA

CEBU, Philippines - The rampaging RJX Transport Solutions '99 pummeled Centennial Hardware '95, 71-52, for its fourth consecutive win in as many games in the Cebu Eastern College Alumni Basketball Association's 11th Dr. Chen Lieh Fu Memorial Cup at the CEC gym.

Mark Eugene Bukiron stayed oven-hot, firing in a game-high 24 points including 13 in a decisive endgame assault that wrapped up the 19-point demolition.

Ruben Yap, Jr. cashed in 16 points and Albery Uy pitched in 13 markers as Class '99 sent Class '95 staggering the rest of the way after posting a 35-21 advantage at halftime.

Dean Dy Teves was the lone double digit scorer with 18 points for Class '95, which saw its two-game winning streak come to a sudden red stop.

In the other game, Roadstar/Castrol '96 bounced back from an upset loss to Dewfoam '88 in style, carving out a 65-48 rout of First Family Appliance '87/94.

Class '96 led by only two points at the break, 27-25, but unloaded an 18-7 bomb in the third period to rip the game apart, 45-32, heading into the payoff period.

Rogelio Donayre had 14 points, while Franklin Neil Ong and Arniel Frank Pelaez each finished with 11 points as Class '96 improved its win-loss card to 2-1.

Stanley Gaw charted 21 points and Henrich Chua added 13, but their efforts went to waste Class '87/94 suffered its second loss in three games.
