Bukidnon, Davao bets dominate horse show
CEBU, Philippines - Noted cowboys from Bukidnon and Davao ruled the Barrel Race category of the Governor’s Cup 2009 “A Horse Show and Competition” yesterday at the Cebu Boardwalk in Mandaue reclamation area.
Dester Undac of Malaybalay Bukidnon Horsemen’s Club topped the youth division after overpowering his comrade Kimrel Deiparine and Margus Jimenez of Bohol-Cebu Equine Owners, Breeders and Sportsmen Association (CEOBSA).
Davao Horse Club’s Patrick Tuazon bagged the Royal class title after outsmarting CEOBSA's Edward Loop and Bienvenido Aznar of Davao.
Another Davaoeño, Kobi Troy Tan, took the expert division crown after defeating Andy Tan and Bunny Sulogan of Malaybalay, Bukidnon.
In the intermediate class, Terence de la Cerna of Malaybalay, Bukidnon emerged the best after outclassing RJ Lindingin of Malaybalay and Mike Mirelles of CEOBSA.
Patrick John Eleazar of CEOBSA Bohol dominated the intermediate class. Jayjay Tuazon and Dean Gonzales, both from Davao Horse Club, wound up second and third, respectively.
In the auxiliary division, Noel Gonzales of Davao reigned supreme over Bon Jove of CEOBSA and Roger Birbo of Cagayan de Oro Horsemen’s Club. – Marigold P. Lebumfacil (THE FREEMAN)
