Cebu Progress stays unbeaten in Sinulog team chess tourney

Cebu Progress Marketing stayed as the only undefeated team after five rounds of action in the 2009 Cebu Sinulog Open Chess Team Tournament yesterday at SM City-Cebu.

The gutsy players of the University of San Jose-Recoletos Team A tried to ruin the day of CPM, but could only manage a draw in round five.

In the other game, Sikad Talisay bowed to USJ-R skippered by NM Rogelio Enriquez and then settled for a draw with the University of Cebu (UC) of team captain IM Kim Steven Yap.
