Gemmary dumps Kidneycare in Guardo cagefest

CEBU - Jingjing Gacayan and Bernie de la Rosa each scored 20 points to lead Gemmary/Ho Tong Hardware ’70s to a 78-55 demolition of Kidneycare ’87 in the 2008 University San Carlos Boys High Alumni Basketball Association (USCBHABA) Atan Guardo Barkadahan Cup at the USC-North Campus gym.

Gemmary/Ho Tong, thus, improved its win-loss record to 4-5, while Kidneycare fell to 2-7.

Kidneycare could only come close at the end of the first period, 15-17, as the Batch ’70 cagers went on a scoring rampage in the second quarter to take a 50-39 advantage at the break.
