Sacred Heart parents now 2-0 in FYA

CEBU - Jaymar Tacaldo and Britt Carlo Reroma went on a scoring frenzy to vault Sacred Heart Parents Association past Tri J-Don Bosco, 95-90, in the 1st F. Llamas Youth Associaiton (FYA) Friendship Cup the other day at the Don Vicente Sotto Memorial gym in Brgy. Punta Princesa, this city.

Tacaldo, a former shooting guard of the UV Green Lancers, and Reroma, the current coach of San Beda Red Cubs in the NCAA, conspired for 61 points as the Sacred Heart parents snatched the temporary lead with a clean 2-0 slate. They shoot for their third straight win tonight as they take on host FYA.

Cyril Mercado was the third Sacred Heart parent to score in double figures with 17. Alaric Nazareno, Benedict Chua and SBP-Passarelle coach Bon Rosito could only score not more than nine points.

Jorey Perez paced Tri J Marketing-Don Bosco with 17 points, while Ryan Carlo Padayao had 15 points in a losing cause.

Earlier, Sherilyn Plastics of team owner Richard Mercado outwitted the FYA Selection, 88-84, to forge a 1-1 tie with its victim.

Beboy Potencioso, an Inter-City League campaigner with the Cebu City Niños, topscored Sherilyn Plastics with 21 points, while ex-UC Webmaster Kenneth Kern Sesante banged in 17 markers. Anton Colminares and Elro Cañete donated 25 points combined.
