Regidor, Lastimoso power Maroon versus Green

-

CEBU - Erstwhile pro and commercial star Lou Regidor fired 27 points and Frankie Lastimoso added 20 as Maroon dumped Green, 111-98, for its second straight win in as many starts in the USC-SC PTCA, Inc. basketball tournament at the USC-South Campus covered court.

In the other games, Team Red led by Rey Abarquez defeated Light Blue, 88-80, while the Orange squad of Alex Cainglet demolished the Jeson Guardo-sponsored Black, 81-61.

With the win, Maroon earned the solo lead with a clean 2-0 slated. It kicked off its campaign with an 88-78 drubbing of Navy Blue two weeks ago.

Abe Galinato, a veteran commercial player, had 23 points for the 1-1 Green.

Earlier, Abarquez pumped in 20 of his 32 points for Red to spoil a scintillating 45-point show by Light Blue’s Ope Abellana.

Alex Cainglet, on the other hand, scored all his 23 points in the second half for Orange. Borbon municipal councilor Roy Melgo chipped in 10 markers.

Ronald Libre topscored for Black with 24 points.
