CESAFI selection to HK caging bared

CEBU - Sports leader and University of Cebu (UC) Webmasters team manager Atty. Baldomero C. Estenzo has divulged the final composition of the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI) selection that will represent Cebu in the 17th Kung Sheung International Basketball Invitational Championships starting on December 14 at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium in Huang Chai, Hong Kong.

Mentored by Elmer “Boy” Cabahug of the University of the Visayas Green Lancers assisted by Edito Salacut of the University of San Jose Recoletos (USJR) Jaguars, the CESAFI selection is composed of four players each from UV and USJR and one each from UC, USPF, SWU and Don Bosco.

The members of the Hong Kong-bound squad are Gregory Slaughter, Eulogio Lasala, Jr., Chris Victor Diputado and Ritchum Dennison of UV, Armand Ponce, Ranulfo Malinao, Jabe Delfino and Mannie Gabas of USJ-R, Jun Mar Fajardo of UC, Alfred Belande of SWU, Moncrief Rogado of USPF, and Ricmar Perturbos of Don Bosco.

Estenzo downplayed their chances of bringing home the bacon, but assured they will try their best to have a decent finish in the tournament. – GGM (THE FREEMAN)
