Red and Maroon gun for win no.2 in LAYA caging

CEBU - The Red-Binglens and the Maroon team shoot for their second straight victory today in the resumption of the Labangon Youth Association (LAYA) 1st Ritchie Osmeña Cup at the Labangon Sports Complex.

Binglens till test the dribbling operatives from the Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) led by Supt. George Ylanan, while the Maroon cagers shoot for back-to-back wins when they go up against the winless Yellow squad.

In last Saturday’s games, the Trisha & Tracy defeated Lola Carmen Chicharon, 68-62, while Green soared to a 78-72 victory over Team Black.

Both Trisha & Tracy and Lola Carmen are now toting 1-1 win-loss records.

Jade Flores amassed 23 points to pace Trisha & Tracy, while Andrew Navaja and Marcelo Zapanta contributed 12 and 11 markers, respectively.

Noel Medalle paced Lola Carmen with 14 points.

On the other hand, four Green players scored in double figures led by Mocong Abella with 24 points. Macoy Sangcada added 17 points followed by Angel Navaja with 15.

Marvin Siatong scattered 21 points for Black, while Bobby Reyes scored 13 in a losing cause.
