Red rallies past Yellow in LAYA hoop tourney

CEBU - The Binglens-Red Team whipped up a furious offensive in the final half to escape with an 81-79 win over Donald-Yellow in the Labangon Youth Association (LAYA) 1st Ritchie Osmeña Cup at the Labangon Sports Complex.

Dagatan, who inspired Red’s tide-turning rally, charted a game-high 36 points. Gladys Mantilla paced Yellow with 23 points.

 In the opener, the Kekoy-Maroon demolished Boy Tuplok-Gold, 79-60.

The organizing LAYA is headed by its presidentRrobby Ylanan. Mark Ylanan and Chief Inspector George Ylanan serve as the group’s advisers.

They are assisted by LAYA vice president Marcelo Zapanta and working committee members Angel Navaja, Allan Trinidad, Jonald Morada, Jack Ylanan, Viking Rollon, Chummy Solon, and Noel Medalle.
