CEBU - Lito Ladroma once again stamped his class as he bagged the open division title in last weekend’s 2nd Comcentcom (Commander Central Command) Cup 2008 at the Camp Lapu-Lapu Firing Range.
Second place for the open class went to Cesar Ting while Ric Bono finished third in the level 2 match sanctioned by the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) and the Philippine Practical Shooting Association (PPSA).
Arestil Famor topped the Standard (hi cap) division followed by Keith Sao on second, James Vincent Manigos on third, Rolando de los Santos 4th, and Christopher Panes 5th.
In the Standard (single stack) event, Lyndon Solatorio won the title with Yogie Javier as runner-up.
Joel Concepcion ruled the Production class followed by Alex Manzano, Conrad Alega, Cliff Ediza, and Fredilson Codilla at second to fifth respectively.
Lawyer Ismael Trinidad won the Revolver class with TV host Julius Legaspi finishing second.
Saldie Tan Un Kheng won the junior class and runner-up honors went to brother Sherwin Tan Un Kheng.
For the Active Military Personnel (single stack standard) event, Capt. Nixon Mendoza of the Philippine Air Force won the title. Second place went to 2Lt. Joemar Demonteverde of PAF, 3rd to SN1 Jeffre Dominguez of the Navy, 4th to Capt. Manuel Concepcion of PAF, and 5th to 2Lt. Gil Andal of PAF.
In the hi cap standard category for active military personnel, MSgt. Eugene Bensal of the Army won the title. Second place went to B. Gen. Jessie Dellosa the deputy commander of Centcom, 3rd to TSgt. Dondi Dejolde of PAF, 4th to Maj. Brylle Brillantes of PAF, and 5th to Lt. Gen. Pedro Ike Inserto, the commander of Centcom.
In the PNP/NALECC/AFP Reservist (single stack standard) category, Lyndon Solatorio bagged the title. Second place went to Yogie Javier while 3rd and 4th were Dale Efe and Dennis Hernandez respectively.
In the hi cap standard class for the group, Rolando de los Santos won the title with Christopher Panes taking 2nd, Ervin Estandarte 3rd, and Jason Capoy 4th.
In the production category, Corad Alega won the title with Cliff Ediza at second and Ferdilson Codilla at 3rd.
B. Gen. Dellosa won the title for the star awards (category for generals) with Lt. Gen. Inserto taking the runner-up honors.
Marlene Effelberger topped the ladies open category while Gina Gacho took the standard class crown. Jennifer Chua won the ladies production event.
Lito Ladroma also took home the senior open class title on top of the overall title of the event.
Ervin Estandarte topped the senior standard category while Jacinto Rentuza was best in the senior production class and Eleno Kong in the super senior standard category.
The team title went to J&J Home Furnishing followed by 7C of Armscor Philippines, and Centcom team 2 on second and third respectively. – NLQ (THE FREEMAN)
