Cluster 5-A tiff in GUV Cup today
CEBU - Action in the 4th Governor Gwen Garcia Unity Volleyball (GUV) Cup for Women resumes today with the staging of the cluster 5-A action in the town Sogod.
Unlike in the other clusters with sub-cluster action, cluster-5 will be following a cross-over format.
Cluster 5-A is composed of the towns of Borbon, Catmon, Carmen and host Sogod.
The top two squads of this group will proceed to Poro in the island of Camotes for the cross-over tomorrow.
Before the cross-over, four teams from the Camotes Island will fight it out for the top positions in cluster 5-B that is going to meet with the no.1 and 2 of 5-A.
Cluster 5-B is composed of defending champion Pilar, Tudela, San Francisco and Poro.
Like the first four clusters, the top two teams in this cluster will advance to the final battle and play for the overall crown among municipalities. — Caecent No-ot Magsumbol (THE FREEMAN)
