Cebuano booters start title bid in national invitational tourney

-

CEBU - Three teams from Cebu will start their title hunt in the National Invitational Football Tournament today in San Carlos City. These are Don Bosco Technology Center, Springdale and the Abellana National School .

They will compete in the Under-17 category.

Don Bosco head coach Glenn Ramos feels bad that they have to compete against each other, but there is nothing else they can do about it.

The Cebuanos will go up against teams from Manila, Iloilo , Bacolod and some areas in Mindanao .

Of the Cebu entries, more is expected of Don Bosco, being back-to-back champions in the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (CESAFI) secondary football.

Coach Ramos said his players are in high spirits because of the support of their school officials led by their rector Fr. Ronald Guiao, principal Fr.Jerome Constantino, and Engr. Rodney Orale.

The Philippine Football Federation(PFF)-sanctioned event serves as one of the highlights of the Pintaflores Festival. – Caecent No-ot Magsumbol (THE FREEMAN)
