Fajardo, Russell lift R-Lenda to triumph in Unit II hoopfest

CEBU - Renjel Fajardo and Lister Russell powered R-Lenda to a 64-57 trouncing of Jeff Lawrence in the seniors division of the 1st Unit III Carbon Market basketball tournament in Brgy. Ermita, this city.

Fajardo had 17 points, while Elmer Elmoses had 12 points for R-Lenda. Niño Noel and Russell contributed 21 markers combined.

In the juniors division, te FGS dribblers defeated the LSB squad, 80-68, while Marbeb’s Fighter outwitted the Thinkers, 55-44.

James Cabugason led FGS with a game-high 21 points, while Kuta Castañares and Eric Tautjo chipped in 19 and 18 points, respectively, as they kept the top spot with a 4-1 win-loss record.

Angel Benitez scattered 32 points for LBS, which crashed to its third straight defeat in as many games.

Baget Alfeche scored 20 points to lead Marbeb’s Fighter and Jonathan Flores added 18.

The Thinkers, who are also winless in three starts, were led by Ronald Blaniran with 14 points.
