Brgy. Apas dominates hip hop and dancesport competition

CEBU - Host Brgy. Apas prevented the visiting dance enthusiasts to dominate the open routine at its own turf by hauling three golds, one silver and one bronze in the second leg of the Go Ching Hai Martina Cup and M. Lhuillier Kwarta Padala Cup Inter-Barangay Hip Hop and Dancesport Competition over the weekend.

The three golds came from Ethan Dano and Elizabeth Condrado through the latin juvenile class, Alven Urtezuela and Mary Mae Canillo in the juniors division, and Robinson Germarino and Daniella Bombita in the youth category.

Lahug wound up second with two golds and silvers apiece, while Mabolo came in third with a gold, two silvers, and a bronze.

Cogon placed fourth with a gold and a bronze followed by Tejero with two bronzes.

In the closed competition, the tandem of Dano and Condrado also bagged a gold through the latin barangay-based (juvenile), while Urtezuela and Canillo topped the juniors division.

In the hip-hop contest, the Gentle Freaks won the top spot over the Free Mynz, while the Magic Boys grabbed the third spot.

During the first leg held in Pardo, Guadalupe came out the best with a gold, two silvers and two bronzes. Guadalupe’s lone gold came from Paolo Usman and Kimberly Petallo. – Caecent No-ot Magsumbol (THE FREEMAN)
