MLSDF stars rout Santander in friendly

CEBU - The M. Lhuillier Sports Development Foundation (MLSDF) selection of multi-titled coach Eddie B. Ybañez spewed fire all throughout the 40-minute skirmish to scorch the Santander All-Stars, 101-83, in their basketball exhibition match recently at the Boljoon Sports and Cultural Center.

Tabalen scattered 18 points, Ronron Cabahug had 15 markers and Christian Cabahug added 13 for the MLSDF stalwarts, who were never threatened after taking a 10-point lead, 25-15, at the end of the first quarter.

MLSDF closed the first half with a 14-point advantage, 53-39, and then launched its third wave of attack to mount an imposing 82-66 bulge entering the final 10 minutes of the contest.

The game was part of MLSDF’s fine-tuning for the 6th M. Lhuillier Kwarta Padala Under-21 Development Basketball League in Consolacion where it currently paced the Bracket A standings with an immaculate 3-0 record.

Prior to the game, Ybañez distributed several sporting goods to the municipality of Boljoon through Mayor Deogenes “Wargong” R. Derama and Merlou Derama as part of MLSDF’s community outreach program.
