CEBU - Nonoy Abasola grabbed the driver’s seat after two races in the October edition of the Criterium Rider of the Month at the Mandaue City reclamation area.
Though he has yet to win a leg, Abasola leads the overall race with 36 points.
The first race of the month saw back-to-back CRM awardee Dr. Jonathan Simbajon dominating the battle, while Abasola was only third.
In the second race done last Saturday, it was Celing Villarosa who got the top spot, with Abasola landing third again.
The summary of points, however, saw Abasola on top of the heap. Simbajon and Loloy Berdun are at joint second and third spots with 33 points. Celing Villarosa runs fourth with 25 points followed by Rudy Mendoza with 20 points.—Caecent No-ot Magsumbol (THE FREEMAN)
