RemEMBER slaughters Stallions in MLKP U-21 hoop

-

CEBU - Team RemEMBER Consolacion bucked off a sluggish start to chop down the Mandaue Stallions, 58-46, in the 6th M. Lhuillier Kwarta Padala Under-21 Developmental Basketball League at the Consolacion Sports Complex.

RemEMER of Concolacion Vice Mayor Ember V. Alinsug and Poblacion Oriental Brgy. Councilor Paul Alelu V. Flores trailed by two after the first period, 12-14, but rallied back with savvy in the second quarter to wrest the driver’s seat at the intermission, 33-28.

The Mandaue Stallions threatened for the last time, 43-45, as the RemEMBER mainstays launched a blistering 13-2 rally to tear the game apart, 58-46.

RemEMBER kept it free-flowing offense in the final period to preserve a dozen-point victory.

Jerome Valle topscored for RemEMBER, which jumped to solo second spot in Bracket B with a 3-1 win-loss record.

Ronron Cabahug had a game-high 19 points but his efforts went for naught at the Stallions suffered their fourth straight defeat in as many games in the three-month tilt organized by M. Lhuillier Sports Development Foundation (MLSDF) executive director Eddie B. Ybañez.
