CCC Builders reaches Aloguinsan cage finals

CEBU - The star-studded Carmen Copper Corporation (CCC) Builders based in Lutopan, Toledo City demolished Britt Basic Basketball, 113-58, to complete a three-game elimination round sweep and advance into the semifinals of the Aloguinsan Mayor’s Cup Open basketball tournament.

In those three games, former commercial standout Jerry Jaca was the topscorer of the Boboy Cal-mentored Builders.

 Against the Bonel Balingit and Roel Gomez-reinforced Britt Basketball Basic, Jaca scored 21 points, while Roy Arnado chipped in 17 markers for CCC. Wilbert Sayson and Aldrin Ocañada had 25 points combined.

Last October 3, the Builders scored their second win via a 91-78 drubbing of Ave Maria Sanctuary Park. Jaca scored 28 points, while Ocañada finished with 19.

The Builders debuted with a 108-87 demolition of the Maque Team last September 27. Jaca also posted a game-high 31 points, while Ocañada registered 24 markers.

The CCC Builders will fight next for the P70,000 champion’s purse. The second placer will take home P50,000, while the third and fourt placers will get P35,000 and P10,000, respectively. (GGM) (THE FREEMAN)
