MLSDF selection dumps Mandaue Stallions in friendly

CEBU - The M. Lhuillier Sports Development Foundation (MLSDF) Selection of multi-titled coach Eddie B. Ybañez rode on a crippling third-quarter rally to slaughter the Mandaue Stallions, 77-58, in their goodwill encounter on Saturday night at the Cesar M. Cabahug Memorial Sports Complex in Brgy. Looc, Mandaue City.

The MLSDF stalwarts had a lethargic start resulting into a five-point deficit at halftime, 27-32, but bounced back with finesse in the third period where they pummeled the Stallions, 23-6, to post a dozen-point lead, 50-38, going into the final 10 minutes of play.

MLSDF was never threatened from thereon, even outscoring the Stallions in the last quarter, 27-20, for the 19-point blowout.

The game was part of MLSDF’s conditioning for the 6th M. Lhuillier Kwarta Padala Under-21 Developmental Basketball League at the Consolacion Sports Complex where it currently paced Bracket B with an unblemished 3-0 record.
