Alburo elected as BTC prexy

CEBU - Bo Alburo, formerly one of Cebu’s top netters, has been elected as president of the Belmont Tennis Club based in Minglanilla.

The rest of the BTC officers are Sammy Sayson (vice president), Lulu Adlawan(treasurer),Ian Gellaga (assistant treasurer), Ben Zozobrado (secretary), Jun Madrid (PRO), Roger Lapinig (auditor), Epil Abella, Nilo Undag and Nato Leviste (peace officers) and Edsel Nengasca (court manager).

Lorre Alburo, Reming Saturinas, Boy Gonzaga, Pete del Rosario and Jun Cavada are the Board of Directors.

They were formally inducted into office by Minglanilla councilor Jojo Selma during a simple ceremony.

Alburo, who is also the head coach of the University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) lawn tennis varsity squad, promised to work hard for the improvement of the club’s facilities and hopefully produce tennis scholars like him.

As a start, Alburo will spearhead a tennis clinic for the youngsters every Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 3 pm. – Caecent No-ot Magsumbol (THE FREEMAN)
