Haulers, Warriors start strong in Rady Cup hoop

 CEBU – The Viking Haulers and the Warriors got off to a sizzling start in the 1st Coach Rady Cup Basketball Tournament at the Vicente Sotto Memorial Gym in Brgy. Punta Princesa, this city.

The Haulers, led by Ern Medalle with 18 points, slammed the Golden Eye, 70-67, while the Warriors staged a daring escape in draining the Lakers, 52-50.

Golden Eye was led by ex-UC Junior Webmaster Dominic Enriquez with 21 points.

On the other hand, Dondon Cadungog, Chrisar Llegunas and Marata led the Warriors with 37 points combined.

The tournament is suppored by Punta Princesa Brgy. Capt. Rolly Diorico and barangay councilor Bugoy Atillo.         

During the opening ceremony, the officers of the F. Llamas Youths Association or FYA were formally inducted into officer. 

They were Arnel Trinidad (president), Ern “Baeng” Medalle (VP external), Adrian Laborte (VP internal), Mark Enriquez (secretary), Marcel Cadungog (treasurer), and Noel Medalle, Christopher Marata, Wendell Rollon and Angel Navaja (public information officers).       

The club adviser is Rady Abarintos, a noted sports patron of Punta Princesa.
