Maloloy-on/ Dinampo triumphs in BRAA hoopfest

CEBU - Team Maloloy-on/Dinampo mercilessly demolished Lauron/Rocolas, 86-59 at the start of the Banawa Residents Athletic Association (BRAA) Inter-Clan basketball semifinal round at the Gillamac basketball court. In the other game, Mabatid/Arañas scored a come-from-behind 69-57 victory over Mirarza/Virtucio.

Zanny Maloloy-on dazzled his defenders with his flashy moves to topscore for his team with 20 points. Pointguard Pedot Animas had five points and six assists, while center Thiel Dinampo had eight points and two blocks.

Manjo and Boboy Lauron had 14 and 13 points, respectively for Lauron/Rocolas. The missing link was Gaga Cabanilla who was held off to only two points.

In the other game, Lito Mabatid and his sons Rambo and Diego Jay powered their team with 38 points combined.

Jake Lacandula paced Mirarza/Virtucio with 18 points followed by Keith Virtucio with 13.
