Bostolits wins opening game in QBA

Team Bostolits opened its title quest with a 93-84 drubbing of ICC Pharmacy in the second conference of the Saturday Club of Quiot Basketball Association (QBA) in Brgy. Quiot.

The Bostolits was powered by the tandem of Sander Ochegue and Rolly Tantiado, who finished with 23 and 20 points, respectively. Netch Villarin and Noel Celestial had 14 points each for ICC.

The league’s opening salvo was highlighted by the three-point shootout won by Jumie Ararao of St. Vincent team. Adding glitter to the affair was Jade Marie de la Peña, a 15-year-old senior high school student of University of Cebu, who romped off with the Miss Saturday Club-QBA tiara.

The tournament was made possible through the efforts of QBA president David de la Cruz.
