PPSA Businessmen’s Cup opens Aug 31 in Punta

Twelve teams will see action in the Punta Princesa Sports Association (PPSA) Businessmen’s Cup 2008 Open for Above 30 category next Sunday, August 31 at the Vicente Sotto Memorial gym in Barangay Punta Princesa, this city.

Some of the teams that will see action in this tournament are Flora Large Format, Black Arrow Security Agency, Julies Bakeshop, Cathwin, BIAR, RCAF, Triple B and Amihan.

Highlighting Sunday’s opening will be the showdown between the best of the PPSA against the Rama Boys led by triggerman Jingjing Rama.

Club president Douglas Beltran with the assistance of Boboy Rosito and Allan Lim organized this event to promote physical fitness and camaraderie among the basketball fanatics coming from the different villages/subdivisions and sports communities surrounding Barangay Punta Princesa.

Cebu City vice-mayor Michael Rama, an acknowledged basketball enthusiast, will deliver the inspirational message. (GGM)
