Inday Orfing, Fairlane share SRNA lead
Inday Orfing Villamor walked away with a 78-75 win over Samantha, while Fairlane defeated Francis Ian, 85-75, to share the lead in the San Roque Neighborhood Association (SRNA) basketball tournament at the Guadalupe Sports Complex.
After shrugging off a slow start, Inday Orfing went strong the rest of the way to thwart the rallying Samantha. Andoy Abella, Dong Omelig and Jomar Monares spearheaded Inday Orfing’s huge turnaround.
Abella led Inday Orfing with 20 points, while Omelig and Monares chipped in 17 and 14 markers, respectively.
In the other game, Fairlane dumped the winless Francis Ian to join Inday Orfing atop the leadboard with identical 2-0 slates. Fairlane rode on the heroics of Earl Abellanosa and Makoy Brigaudit, who combined for 44 points.
In the other game of a feature triple-header, the 3L Catering Sevices devoured Jollibee, 91-81.
