‘The Prince' nears ‘king’ status in URCC

He is monickered as “The Prince” but Cebuano Cary Bullos stepped closer to becoming a king in his class by posting another impressive victory in the prestigious Universal Reality Combat Championship (URCC) XII billed as “The Supremacy” over the weekend at the A. Venue Events Hall in Makati City.

The 24-year-old Bullos stopped former top blow-by-blow and veteran Mixed Martial Arts fighter Arnel Arancina using a rare naked choke in just one minute of the opening round.

During the weigh-in, Arancina tipped in the scales at 138 pounds, four pounds heavier than Bullos. But the big-hearted Lapu-Lapu City MMA star used brute force to overpower his Manila-based foe.

The win was Bullos’ second straight via submission. Bullos, who is supported by RUSCO, Junas Fitness Gym and K-Arts, also has nine knockout victories in all MMA fights he had.—Caecent No-ot Magsumbol
