Aguilar, Ornopia score double
Glenn “D’ King” Aguilar seemed to have missed the people of Ormoc so much that he never let them down by putting up an awe-inspiring show on the racetrack to come up with a double victory in the 2008 MS Motosuit Motocross Series-Ormoc National Competition last Sunday at the city’s grandstand.
Aguilar ruled the pro open and 125 pro open classed of the Imarflex Evvo Battery and Castrol Power 1-sponsored event.
In the pro open, Aguilar gave Dondon Yuson a neat motocross lesson, while the little known Ruel Mangusong came out third.
In the pro 125 category, Aguilar proved too much to handle for another daring rider in Ruel Tilar, while Yuson could only make it to third place. Both classes saw Winsor Pamorca finishing fourth.
Keiz BJ’s proprietor Siegfred Ornopia, on the other hand, showed he is definitely back on the right track in dirtbike action with his consistent performance in this year’s series.
Ornopia, younger brother of MS Motosuit main man Lou Ornopia, also collared twin victories. He beat Ronie Carios to rule the executive A and then outmaneuvered Beboy Garcia to lord it over in executive B.
Peewee Galla joined the list of double winners as he dominated the peewee starter’s class and the advanced division.
In the starter’s class, Galla prevailed over Jobert Gloria and PJ Galla, while in the advanced level he bested Flynn Royeras and Jobert Gloria.
Michael Desbaro is the fourth rider to go home with two titles as he reigned supreme in 25 local enduro and open enduro.
Desbaro won against Emeliano
RJ Con-ui emerged the best in the intermediate class, defeating Joseph Del Coro and Carlos Ronnie who settled for second and third, respectively, in this Macoy Larrazabal and PMA-organized 10th leg of the annual MS Motosuit Motocross Series.
Con-ui, however, missed a double as he just finished second to Jay Ambao in the novice production.
In the 65cc class, Renato Mangusong bagged the top spot followed by Sammy Boy Mendoza and Jestine Cameñavo, while the top three performers in the beginner’s production were Emiliano
It was a family affair for the Larrazabals with Erika finishing on top followed by Christina Marie and Ana Monica in the ladies class of the event also supported by 888 Header Core, Cebu Reliance Motor Parts, Cebu Progress Marketing, Gaib Fork Oil, Keiz BJ Motor Sales, MS Digital Prints, F&FO Motor Parts.
