Fresh from the success of the 2nd Y101 Corporate Cup that he organized alongside his wife, Joseph Stevens bagged the lowest gross honors in the June Monthly Medal of Cebu Country Club with a one-under-par 71 performance last Saturday.
The class A title went to Evans Tumaliwan with a net score of 66 off a gross score of 76 while Raymond Alvin Garcia was first runner-up with his net 67.
The class B plum went to Jack Huang with his net score of 68 strokes. Runner-up honors went to David Lu with 69.
For class C, Alvin Tan won a three-way battle for the top honors as he emerged champion with a net score of 67. Runner-up honors went to Hiroshi Sasaki also with a net score of 67 edging Boy Dagondon in the countback.
Rhoudie Tiu ruled class D with a net score of 68 while runner-up honors went to Koji Hosogaya with a net score of 72.
Two lawyers were the best in the seniors’ division for players aged 60 years old and above as Francis Zosa won the title with a net score of 68 and Joseph Yukaguan was runner-up with 69.
The guest division title was taken by Danny Alcoseba with 81 while runner-up honors went to Terje Spetaas with 83. — NLQ
