Alasagas, Riveral dominate Opascor tourney

Mark Alasagas and Kenneth Riveral topped their respective divisions in the chess event of the OPASCOR Sportsfest at the company’s playing hall at the North Reclamation area.

Alasagas emerged as Group A champion with 5.0 points. He sealed his victory by outsmarting Atty.Tomas Riveral.

Jeje Dignos grabbed the second place honors courtesy of a higher tie-breaker. Fel Alasagas finished third followed by Arvin Riveral.

Another Riveral, Kenneth, dominated the Class B action also with 5.0 points.

William Solon placed second with 4.5 points. Ian Riveral wound up third, while Felimon Andrino occupied the fourth spot.—Caecent No-ot Magsumbol
