Noy Cacoy off to US for series of seminars

World-renowned eskrima grandmaster Ciriaco “Noy Cacoy” Cañete leaves for the United States today to conduct at least 15 seminars in his three-month periodic sojourn.

The 88-year-old Cañete will be preaching once more the Filipino ingenuity of eskrima, eskrido (eskrima-judo) and pangamot (barehand) techniques he and his family popularized for more than seven decades now.

Cañete said more than 100 participants have already confirmed their participation in his two-day seminar in Van Nuys, Los Angeles.

Cañete will also hold seminar-workshop in San Jose City, Portland, Los Angeles, Fairfield, Sacramento, Seattle, Miami, Florida, Albuquerque, New Mexico, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Atlantic City, New Jersey, and Honolulu, Hawaii. (GGM)
