USPF now 4-0 in Shakey’s volleyball

Defending champion University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) smothered Abellana National School (ANS) in straight sets for its fourth win in the 3rd Shakeys Girls Volleyball League the other day at the USPF gym.

The Jordan Paca-mentored USPF drubbed ANS, 25-15, 25-16 behind the powerful attacks of Universal Player awardee Danika Gendrauli, Apple Seraum, Dianne Navaja, Jinky Garidos, Diane Navaja and Kaise delos Santos.

With a clean 4-0 slate, USPF is right on target in its grandslam campaign.

Pajo National High School, on the other hand, trounced Don Gerardo National High School (DGNHS) and University of Cebu to brighten up it title hunt with a 3-1 win-loss record.

Pajo NHS of coach Fr. Rolando T. Manayon pummeled DGNHS in straight sets, 25-20, 25-18 and then won by default over UC. It was a double whammy for UC as it bowed to DGNHS, 25-15, 25-13. — Marigold P. Lebumfacil
