Cebu topguns tangle for final seats in Lilo-an

Cebu’s top volleyball teams meet today for final seats in the 1st Mayor Duke Frasco Volleyball Open at the Lilo-an gym.

Two-time CESAFI champions the University of San Carlos meets Paul Yu in the first game while Talisay Selection faces Liloan’s Designer in the other game.

In the women’s division, undefeated GGC Team plays Paul Yu while USPF tangles with Consolacion Selection.

The USC Warriors will lean on the services of two-time CESAFI MVP Roderick Arenasa, Edward Carlo Tecson, Kenneth Bensig, Jerone Maestre, Jesriel Pino and Ariel Carumba. The Liloan’s Designer will have the high-flying Jhunrey “Air” Sasing, while Talisay boasts of UV Coach Henji Tomales, Loujie Tipgos and Norvie Labuga.

Team GGC, in the distaff side, has SWU coach Janeth Ponte, Kenneth Garces, Marissa Lagancia, Jusabelle Brillo, Janez Armie Igot, Florian Gutierrez, Joreem Sanchez, Julette Marikit and Michelle Matuguina.

SAC awardee Danika Gendrauli, Ericka Camille Verano and Herelene Ybarita will carry the colors of USPF.

The semi-final matches start at 8:00 in the morning; the battle for third at 1:00 in the afternoon.
