Bugsay 2008 kayaking on May 21-25

Kayaking returns to the Cebu sporting scene with the staging of Bugsay 2008 from May 21 to 25 at the South Reclamation Properties.

The event was formally launched the other night at Turtle’s Nest with the organizing Cebu Kayaking Club hoping for a good turnout of entries.

The kayaking festival features a clinic at Karancho Beach in Mactan and at SRP, a boat exhibit, and a competition.

The contest will take place on May 24-25 featuring two race lengths, the sprint and the 3-kilometer marathon.

The categories in both races include the open, inter-school and inter-company.

Each category has five events namely novice single and mixed tandem, men and women’s tandem and the mixed tandem.

Registration fee is pegged at P250. Jump-off Point Adventure Club members, however, will only pay P200.
