The country’s fastest drag racer, David Lim, bagged the most prestigious Quick 8 run title of the 1st Mandaue Festival Run Invitational Drag Race the other day at the Mandaue City reclamation area.
Lim of DGL motorsports steered his Honda Civic EG chopped-top and Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 8 to a clocking of 6.8 and 6.5 seconds, respectively, to log in the best times of the race.
Interestingly, it was Lim’s sixth overall title in less than a year. Before joining the Mandaue festival run, he reaped seven trophies last week in the Autocross Challenge held at Clark Expo in Pampanga.
Tsuntsun Mendoza of ACR team ranked second in the said category.
Warren Go of ACR bagged the Class A title with Tsuntsun Mendoza as his runner-up.
In Class B, Robert Pangilinan of DSM reigned supreme over ACR’s Dino Tormis, while Earl Dotillos took the Class C crown over Patrick Mendoza.
Hilton’s lady racer, Dawn Ouano dominated the Class D division followed by Kithe Arabia of Dub City.
In the Superbike1000cc category, Andrei Ursal ruled on board his Suzuki GSXR 1000, while Ryan Mendoza settled for second place.
