Qualfon drubs Icomm in Inter-Call Center hoopla

Qualfon threw a powerful endgame punch to knock down Icomm , 63-53, and open its title campaign on a bright note in the 2008 Inter-Call Center Basketball Tournament at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.

It was a tightly-knit battle from the start resulting into a 42-all standoff entering the final 10 minutes of the contest

However, Qualfon turned red-hot in the final period where it outpointed Icomm, 21-11, to seal the win.

Jopher Regidor topped Qualfon with 13 points, while Marvic Borgonia, Ryan Ignacio and John Llesol chipped in nine markers apiece.

Jeffery Padernal cashed in a game-high 15 points for Icomm, which sufered its second straight defeat in as many games.
