5th Thirsty Badminton Cup set April 19-20

It’s all systems go for the 5th Thirsty Badminton Cup set on April 19-20 at the Metrosports Badminton Club along Salinas Drive in Brgy. Lahug, this city.

Among the categories to be contested in the two-day tilt are boys, girls and mixed doubles for 12-under, 14-under, and 16-under entries or The Youngsters, men’s women’s and mixed doubles for Class C, D, E and F players or The Main Event, and men’s, women’s and mixed doubles for 38 years old and above participants or The Prime Years.

Registration fee is pegged at P650 for The Main Event and The Prime Years and P500 for The Youngsters inclusive of souvenir  shirt, shuttlecocks, court fee and leveling fee.

Leveling dates are on April 1, 8, and 15 ( 7pm-9pm) and April 12 and 13, 2008 (4pm-6pm).

Aside from medals, the Class C champion will receive P5,000, while the top winners in Class D will pocket P3,000. The Class E and F champions will get P1,000 apiece.

The deadline for registration is at 10 pm on April 15.
