Camaso to reinforce M. Lhuillier

-

M. Lhuillier Kwarta Padala coach Raul “Yayoy” D. Alcoseba has fortified his offensive arsenal with the acquisition of former PBA star Don Camaso in an effort to put up a highly competitive battle against the Talk ‘N Txt Phone Pals in their goodwill encounter at 7 pm tomorrow at the Cebu Coliseum.

“Talk ‘N Txt is a tough team to beat so we need to bolster our lineup to give them a good and very entertaining fight,” said Alcoseba. “I am encouraging all the Cebuano basketball fans to come and watch the game this Thursday. They will surely get their money’s worth.”

Camaso last saw action in the PBA with the Red Bull. He is now a free agent as his contract wasn’t renewed by the Barako management.

Camaso’s impressive track record makes him a welcome addition to M. Lhuillier’s star-studded roster. The 6-foo5 forward is armed with quickness and soft-shooting touch and can barrel his way down the middle if the situation calls for it.

Although a certified small forward, Camaso is also effective even in off-guard position, thus, adding depth to M. Lhuillier’s offensive rotation.

The Phone Pals are the odds-on favorite, but they should not take M. Lhuillier lightly as the bulk of the Jewelers’ present crew once showed their stuff in the PBA.

Aside from Camaso, the other M. Lhuillier stalwarts who had a stint in Asia’s first play-for-play league are Stephen Padilla, Ron Capati, Leo Bat-og, Bruce Dacia, Danny Aying, Dale Singson, and Marlon Basco.

Expected to provide the Jewelers the needed scoring support are ace playmaker Woodrow Enriquez, Gerry Cavan, Enrico Llanto, and Jayford Rodriguez.

The Phone Pals of coach Chot Reyes, on the other hand, will field a strong force composed of Felix Belano Jr., Jimmy Alapag, Mark Cardona, Kalani Ferreria, Ren-Ren Ritualo, Patrick Fran, Ernesto Billones, Harvey Carey, Jay Washington, Yousif Aljamal, Yancy de Ocampo, Don Allado, Ali Peek, and Migs Noble.

Tickets are reasonably priced at P20 for general admission, P50 for upper box, P100 for lower box, and P200 for ringside.
