K Gallery hoop opens 2008 season tomorrow

A total of 14 teams divided into groups of seven will see action in the two-month tilt sponsored by Alberto’s Pizza, Atty. Jeffrey Pabriaga, Signa Modena, and Robert Rafson Chua.
Among those who will vie for hardcourt supremacy are Kidney Care, San Remigio Beach Club, Bambi Cooking Oil, Hayden, Diakon, Atan Guardo-Sherilin Plastics, and Sam’s Moondogs.
Completing the cast of competitors are USC Law, Yayoy’s Grill, Daks Kakanin Korner, El Deneyroe Convenience Store, Don Alejandro’s, BAISA Security Agency and VL Enterprise.
The tournament follows a single round robin format with the top two teams per bracket advancing into the crossover semifinals. The winners will then clash for the championship in a winner-take-all affair.
Aside from trophies, the champion will take home P12,000, while the runner-up will receive P5,000. The MVP will be given away P500. — EBV
