2nd Run For Your Heart this morning

Cebu’s  running enthusiasts and other fitness buffs will be out again in the streets for the 2nd Run For Your Heart this morning outside the University of Cebu Doctors’ University gym.

Around 700 runners are expected to show up for the race.

Cebu’s acknowledged “Queen of the Road”, Leiszl Lumindas-Getaruelas, is among the top contenders to beat in the women’s division and is highly favored to collect her first 10K title of the year.

Last month, Getaruelas posted back-to-back victories in a half-marathon that also paved the way for her to join a bunch of executive runners in this year’s Hong Kong Marathon set later this month.

In the men’s side, it is anticipated to be anybody’s game as the top local runners are busy with the PRISAA Regional Meet. — Caecent No-ot Magsumbol
