Jeffrey Lepaopao and Mark Joseph Puentevella collected the champion’s trophy after winning the boys 16-under doubles title. Lepaopao and Puentevella defeated Iloilo’s Joellius Castro and Christian Tala 18-21, 21-16, 21-18.
In the women’s doubles of the same category, Jeralyn Taboada and Jessa Mae Lagat retired in the third set of the championship game after Taboada suffered leg cramps. The Cebuanas were having the momentum after forcing a third set when Taboada had to quit. Teammates Irish Mae Ares and Marigold Sweet Duan eventually finished third.
