The National Basketball Training Center (NBTC) will be launched in Cebu on January 21-22 at the Cebu City Sports Complex.
This was disclosed to The FREEMAN by NBTC-Cebu training director, former pro Ramon “El Presidente” Fernandez, a four-time MVP of the PBA.
According to Fernandez, he had invited several basketball leaders to the event including Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) Chairman Manny V. Pangilinan, SBP Executive Director Patrick “Pato” Gregorio, Julio Sy of Tao Corporation and Coach Eric Altamirano.
Fernandez also told The FREEMAN that players who made the cut would be invited to the launching ceremony together with their parents, coaches and athletic directors on January 21.
Other activities scheduled on that date include training of associate coaches and coaches in the morning.
Fernandez said that members of the media would be invited to the event as soon as he receives confirmation from the BSP officials. (GGM)
