Darchinyan eyes KO vs. Gorres

-

Armenia-born Australian power-hitter Vic “The Raging Bull” Darchinyan jumped the gun on Z “The Dream” Gorres as he vowed to knock out the Cebuano ring star when they collide in a 12-round IBF super flyweight eliminator headlining a blockbuster card on February 2 at the Pacific grand ballroom of Waterfront-Cebu City Hotel and Casino.

Darchinyan holds Gorres with high respect, but as serted he’s the better fighter and that he is out to destroy ALA Boxing Gym stalwart and prove he’s back in the groove after his devastating fifth round TKO loss to Fil-Am Nonito Donaire Jr. that cost him his IBF and IBO flyweight titles.

“Gorres is a good fighter, but I am going to make him look like nothing,” Darchinyan, the reigning IBO super flyweight champion, told sportsnut.com.au.

“When I hit him he will go.”

“He gave Fernando Montiel a good fight. I want to show him that he is nothing and all the other world champions will see I am back to my best. It will be like before when I was the flyweight champion,” added Darchinyan.

Darchinyan is so confident that he boldly predicted that no one will dare to fight him after he disposes off Gorres.

Darchinyan sports a 29-1 win-loss record dotted with 23KOs, while the 25-year-old Gorres, the IBF Intercontinental 115-pound titlist sports a 27-2-1 slate with 15KOs.

Darchinyan’s trainer Billy Hussein is very pleased with the way Darchinyan is doing with his training.

Darchinyan reportedly called off celebrations for his 32nd birthday and is currently in the third of torrid sparring with Russian super middleweight prospect Victor Oganov.

The winner of the Darchinyan-Gorres rumble will book as a mandatory title fight against IBF super flyweight champion Dmitri Kirilov of Russia.
