Jacob Lagman enters Andrada Cup semis

Cebuano junior netter Jacob Lagman booked a seat in the semifinal in the 14-under division of the 19th Andrada Age-Group Tennis Championships at the Rizal Memorial tennis courts yesterday.

Lagman routed Argil Lance Canezares 6-0, 6-0 to arrange a semifinal clash with Mauro Bengzon. The win extended Lagman’s mastery over Canezares, a junior netter that used to belong to the 12-under division, where Lagman ruled.

The St. Benedict Childhood Learning Center graduating pupil hopes to continue his winning ways and capture the title in the category dominated by his friend Niño Siso. The latter had already advanced to the 16-under division but didn’t play in this tournament to take a time out after playing in all four legs of the Malaysia Junior Tennis Circuit late last year.  — Caecent No-ot Magsumbol
