Carcar rules Inter-Allied Bank caging

-

The undermanned Team Carcar overhauled an 11-point deficit at halftime to turn back IT via a 66-65 cliffhanger and clinch the championship of the Inter-Allied Bank Basketball League recently at the Capitol Parish Gym.

The IT cagers were in complete control of the match until Jerome Lee, Richard Ong, Kim Noel, Jerome Lamic, and Greg Reyes staged a daring breakaway to change the course of the match in favor of Carcar in the closing minutes of the contest.

IT held on to a 65-64 lead, but Lee sank the game-killing basket off a picture-perfect assist by Ong to seal Carcar’s big turnaround.

Lee finished with a game-high 19 points followed by Lamic with 17 markers. Noel and Ong scored 30 points combined.

In the battle for third, the Green Guards walloped Talamban Housing, 66-57.
