Jaguars seeks third win vs CIT in Partner’s Cup

The USJ-R/Bibbo Hotdog blew hot and cold but still gave DBTC/Unilab-Alaxan a 101-80 spanking to snatch its second straight win in the Reinforced Partners Cup last Tuesday at the Cebu Coliseum.

The Jaguars jumped the gun on DBTC and erected two double-digit leads early in the first and second quarters that DBTC’s juggernauts Aldave, Apura and Enterina erased.

But before the half ended, the Jaguars went back to work and finished the half with a big 55-33 advantage.

DBTC came back strong after the break and inched to closer 58-71 in the third quarter. The Unilab-Alaxan backed cagers further cut down the lead to 63-74 midway in the fourth quarter and appeared to have taken the initiative.

USJ-R’s trio of Jabe Delfino, Lyndo Gudez and Armand Ponce, however took over the game to give partners Bibbo Hotdog a lot to cheer for after the buzzer sounded.

The Jaguars gun for their third victory tonight against CIT-Metro Gaisano as the Reinforced Partners Cup continues at the Cebu Coliseum.

Delfino topscored for USJ-R/Bibbo Hotdog with 23 points while Ponce banged in 17 points and Gudez added 15 points. 

Jeford Aldave led DBTC/Unilab-Alaxan with 15 points while Marjun Apura and Rudy Enterina, Jr. had 12 and 11 points, respectively.
