Fajardo leads UC over USPF

-

Slotman June Mar Fajardo scored 24 points to lead UC-Aspac Bank to a 102-92 come-from-behind win over the USPF/R. Lapid’s Chicharon in last night’s game of the Reinforced Partner's Cup at the Cebu Coliseum.

The 6’7” Fajardo didn’t only score but defended the paint with impunity as he either swatted shots or made opponents changed their shots as he patrolled the lane for UC.

Fajardo punctuated his overpowering performance with a two-handed slam with just a second left in the game but called for a technical foul after he hung to the rim.

USPF controlled the first two quarters of the ballgame but when UC finally hit its stride, the Panthers folded like an accordion. Lawrence Agas’ split charities gave UC a taste of the lead 57-56, with 3:02 in the third canto.

From there on, Fajardo and Ducay played key roles in giving UC the victory.

Jansses Abella and Kelvin Juliane ably provided the back-up for Fajardo by scoring 16 points and 11 points, respectively.

Labares finished with 22 points for USPF while Sereño netted 15 points and Gulane added 14 points.
